An intro to Jazz with a focus on light popular tunes and improvisation. Students must demonstrate advanced knowledge of scales, rhythm, and technique. Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Drumset.

The Jazz band performs Standard and Contemporary music. Students meet during class as well as after school. In addition to performing at the school, the Jazz band performs in, at least, one festival. Students are required to perform in Jazz band attire.
